I recline in the Dentist's chair and
find a notice on the ceiling 'Breathe'
The Eye Specialist says 'Keep
Breathing' while
measuring the pressure of fluid inside the eyes. The EKG
technician says 'Keep
Breathing' when checking
the
heart. Why do
they need to remind us? Obviously, the
doctors found many of us either holding our breath or not breathing in
a healthy manner.
I am using this
site, primarily, to share the simple and easy method called Counting Breaths to be routinely aware of our
breathing, which automatically restores its healthy pattern. This method is made so easy that 2 year
olds to 90 year old seniors are able to use it
regularly and enjoy the benefits.
Initially, you
will enjoy the practice lying comfortably in
bed, when
you need to sleep and on waking up! You may gradually extend the
practice to the wandering (wasted?)
and stressful times of the mind. You will prevent unknowingly accumulating stress
and enjoy a better state of Mind, Body and
Relationships.
You can test this simple method for a minute now, sitting in the chair. You will immediately experience the calmness and relaxation. You will appreciate its potential in helping you relax, any place, any time, in any posture, even while working!
"A simple, no expense, meditation-oriented approach to stress reduction which we recommend for all our patients (and ourselves!) is nicely presented at the following website: www.countingbreaths.com. Try it; you'll be glad you did! " Peter Horvath, MD, FACOG in his web site. More in Professional Endorsements

When we enjoy practicing 'counting breaths' , we are morally obliged to share it with our family, friends and workmates. We owe this to those who developed such methods since thousands of years.
I thank my generous friend who wishes to remain anonymous, for creating and hosting this site free. I thank the individuals who are actively promoting this method in their spehres, to help more children and adults enjoy its life long benefits: Pratibha Gauri, Dr. Peter Horwath, Meg Taylor,, Dr. Padma Sripada, Manjula Salgam and Bindiya Prasad.
